World Bank Reception

Later that nite.
On the rear view the steel structure is the famous Tokyo Tower.Easy guys! Yush blog has been docile for a while. Its been a hectic couple a-weeks. Quick updates? Life is good and Japan is slowly creeping up on me. I relentlessly bow and blurt out ''sumimasen'' (which implies sorry/ excuse me) at slightest chance. I think you can tell its time to go back home once you begin to apologise over everything under the blue skies like the Japs. I need a bit of rugged Nairobi to grow back my rough edges. Anyway as is my tradition, I think pictures say much more than words... This was at the opening reception of the World Bank Development Economics conference at the 52nd Floor of Mori Tower over the weekend. Was a rare chance to enjoy Tokyo from the skylines at zero cost - very handy for a scrooge like me.

Yush:

Sumimasen! I have not visited your blog in eons.....but, as they say, better late than never! It's always a breath of fresh air to keep up with the goings on in your life. Your blog is very captivating and entertaining. Very nice indeed.

Was terribly jealous to see you with Joseph Stiglitz. I'm currently reviewing some of his work, and I'd practically be over the moon if I had the opportunity to meet the man in the flesh and engage with his intellect! Boo-hoo! I guess some people have it all!!! (That's just me being simple plain bitchy!)

Oh, before I forget, here's wishing you a very belated happy birthday! I hope the future brings you even more joy. Keep that camera handy...we need to keep up with your ageing self (and I notice the hair is a lot more tamed....old age perhaps?)

All the best,
Kendi
